At Charter Senior Living of Oak Openings, we also specialize in providing Memory Care through our new, research-based Flourish℠ programming. This personalized approach meets individual tastes and preferences while helping your loved one navigate the physical and cognitive challenges of memory loss. Residents in our Memory Care community are given the freedom to live fully and comfortably with licensed skilled nurses on site 24/7, private residences, programming to keep them engaged, and every feature to help them feel safe and secure.

Kylie Prather– Sales & Marketing Director
With over a decade of experience in sales, customer service, and event planning, Kylie is passionate about creating meaningful connections as the Sales & Marketing Director of Charter Senior Living of Oak Openings. Kylie supports seniors and their families in navigating the transition to assisted living and memory care with compassion and expertise. Her background in managing thriving communities and hosting impactful events reflects her dedication to fostering trust and enriching the lives of residents and their families.
Kylie is married to her husband, Kevin, and they’re about to celebrate 13 years together! They live with their two playful cats, Newt and Rey, who never fail to bring a smile to her day. She loves studying Japanese culture, visiting local cafés, and staying active through yoga and beach volleyball.
Mandy Reams, Memory Care Director
With over 20 years of experience in Memory Care, Mandy is dedicated to creating engaging, person-centered programs that honor each resident’s unique interests and abilities. In her role, she is focused on delivering exceptional care and an enriching lifestyle that enhance quality of life for residents. Mandy holds a bachelor’s degree in art therapy and mental health, a master’s in gerontology, and is currently pursuing a PhD in gerontology. A Certified Activity Director and Certified Dementia Practitioner, she is passionate about lifelong learning and sharing knowledge to enhance the lives of those she serves.
Outside of work, Mandy enjoys relaxing by the lake, attending the Renaissance Festival with her family, and spending time with her dachshund, Norman—who also loves visiting with residents.
Tara O’Rourke, Executive Director
Tara has worked in senior living for nearly 30 years, starting as a Nursing Assistant, then moving into recreational therapy, admissions and marketing, nursing home administration, and a role as an Executive Director. She has degrees in recreational therapy, plus specialized education in elder law, health care administration, memory care, and fundraising. In addition to assisted living, she has also worked in skilled nursing, adult day services, memory care, and independent living. Growing up, Tara always valued close relationships with her grandparents and other older adults in her life, thus she has been drawn to working with elders. She is thrilled to support the residents, families and care team at Charter Senior Living of Oak Openings!
SHANNON BENGE – DIRECT OF SALES & MARKETING
Shannon Benge has been the Director of Sales and Marketing at Charter Senior Living of Oak Openings for over 3 years. She has been in marketing and sales for over 30 years and is proud of the rewarding relationships she has built throughout with her peers, customers, and community. She loves that she gets to use her ability and skill set to provide creative, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking solutions for residents, families, and team members.
Shannon is a proud wife, mother of three, who enjoys watching her children playing sports, golf, skiing and trips to the beach. She is a graduate of The University of Toledo for her bachelor’s and Heidelberg College for her master’s. Shannon is always thrilled to enhance the lives of seniors and their families every day!
DAWN IRVINE – MEMORY CARE DIRECTOR
Dawn Irvine, Memory Care Director at Charter Oak Openings since November 2021, boasts 17 years of dedicated experience in dementia care. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, she fosters a nurturing environment for residents, drawing from her deep understanding and expertise in the field. Dawn’s commitment to safety extends to her role as a licensed Emergency Medical Technician with the Bedford Fire Department. Beyond work, she finds joy as a devoted pet parent to Olive and Kennedy, reflecting her compassionate nature. Dawn’s unwavering dedication and compassionate approach exemplify her commitment to excellence in dementia care.
